R. Michael Fisher, Ph.D., is a naturalist, environmentalist, artist, researcher, integralist, trickster, philosopher and educationist. Much of his transdisciplinary critical thinking, facilitation and writing circulates around sane leadership for the 21st century and how to bring the Natural, Cultural and Spiritual domains into intimate conversation for healthy human development. He has specialized his research on fear (fearlessness) fearology and fearanalysis, believing that the entire field of Psychology is missing the key meta-motivational driver for our species–that is, Fear. He has served as founder and director of In Search of Fearlessness Research Institute since 1991, is Core Faculty at Southwestern College, Santa Fe in the Visionary Practices and Regenerative Leadership Ph.D. program and is co-founding director of Studio M*: A Research Creation Lab Intersecting Arts, Culture and Healing. Fisher currently volunteers as artist imaginician and human resources consultant at a daycare center by the Salish Sea in Nanaimo, BC, Canada.
